Exhibition "sense perception" (Katrin Paul, Takashi Suzuki and SZ) at The Third Gallery Aya in Osaka (January 25 - February 13; 12:00 - 19:00, on Saturday until 17:00; closed on Sunday and Monday; opening reception on January 25, 18:00).

Exhibition "GRAPHIC WEST 2 - Sensory Boxes" at ddd gallery in Osaka (January 19 - March 13; 11:00 - 19:00, on Saturday until 18:00; closed on Sunday, Monday and on national holidays).

Exhibition "Garden of Painting—Japanese Art of the 00s" at the National Museum of Art, Osaka (16.01. - 04.04.2010; 10:00 - 17:00, Fridays until 19:00, closed on Monday).

Exhibition "Seigo Motono - the Pioneer of Modern Design" at the Museum and Archives of the Kyoto Institute of Technology (Januar 19 - March 11; 10:00 - 17:00; closed on Sunday and on national holidays).

Graduation show of the Kyoto Seika University at the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (January 27 - 31, 9:00 - 17:00). The Manga class will be exhibited at the Kyoto International Manga Museum (10:00 - 18:00).

Flea Market on the grounds of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (every month on the 25th).

On the Agenda are events in Kyoto - and also in Osaka and Kobe - that I'm interested in and plan to attend.
Although the list isn't meant to be complete, I hope it provides some valuable tips for those interested in art and design in Kansai.
