Paramodel at Mori Yu Kyoto: Complex systems

(Flickr slideshow)

Yasuhiko Hayashi and Yusuke Nakano of Paramodel take details from the urban landscape--rails, piping, flat layouts--and re-arrange them into complex systems, ornamental and profound at once.
When you look at their work, you will see, for example, flat layouts. But then view it from the distance and discover that these flat layouts form the Chinese characters for "great universe" (大宇宙). Microcosms and macrocosms, all is connected. But do we keep these systems intact?

The exhibition will run at Mori Yu Gallery until October 4th.

Also check their stunning installations of the past.
